ON a space jet

First things first. 

Make the controls like a violin player would play for perfect 3d 6-axis sticks and turret. Make the 'speed pedal' at your right feet control forward laser beam intensity on pressed and fire; have a throttle on the right hand side made for right hand (CONFER a joystick) and put buttons on it.

Keyboard in front.

Thats it. 

Enlist.
